So Not French Onion Soup

This soup is absolutely nothing like the sweet onion soup you are probably used to at restaurants. This soup is salty, flavorful, and perfect paired with steak. It is also incredibly easy to make with few ingredients.

The best thing about this soup. If you have a sore throat it is sure to have you feeling better in no time.

Ingredients

12 Beef Boullion Cubes

8 Cups Water

3 or 4 Yellow Onions (Do not substitute any other onion)

2 tsp. Worchester Sauce (I use at least double this but start slow)

Salt to taste (I love salt and have never needed to salt this soup)

2-3 Slices of Toasted Bread - Cubed

4 Slices Provelone Cheese

Preparation & Cooking Instructions

Dice onions to your preference, I prefer them small. Put onions in a pot with Worchester sauce and cook 5 to 7 minutes to get the onions soft. Add beef cubes and water and bring to a boil. Let simmer for at least 1 hour but longer is better; it allows the onion taste to become stronger. If broth boils down, add water and depending on how much water you add, another beef cube or two.

To serve, top with toasted bread and provelone cheese.  Let cheese melt and serve.
